We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the driver who lost their life and wish a full recovery to the injured driver.
How Are Medical Bills Paid After a Serious Crash in Somersworth, NH?
Medical bills after a serious crash are typically paid first through New Hampshire’s optional medical payments coverage, health insurance, or out-of-pocket payment, since New Hampshire is a fault-based state without mandatory no-fault coverage.
Injuries from head-on crashes commonly include fractures, head trauma, and internal injuries that require ongoing care well past the initial emergency visit. These costs can include surgery, physical therapy, and follow-up imaging, all of which add up while liability is still being sorted out between insurers.
Since New Hampshire’s comparative negligence rule allows a person who is less than 51% at fault to recover a share of their medical costs, a car accident lawyer can help injured drivers and families understand how to seek reimbursement once fault is established.
Documentation such as hospital records and billing statements can play a key part in supporting a claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance.
At Stephen Law, we know how medical costs after a crash can pile up fast, and sorting out who pays isn’t always straightforward. We can go over your bills and explain what options might apply to your situation under New Hampshire law.
